An update on Beans

For those that don’t follow me on Twitter, you may not know that Beans has been in vet hospital for the last 4 days with pyothorax, a chest infection that has filled his lungs with pus.

@jedc got him to the vet just in time and they transferred him to the hospital for what they thought was a kidney problem. Luckily the hospital ordered chest x-rays and diagnosed pyothorax; no small feat given the average vet will only see 1-2 cases per year.

Beans is on the mend and is definitely looking a little more lively now that the bacteria is gone and his drain is almost clear. The past few posts have been him in the hospital, still keeping up the tradition of sitting on new and sometimes unusual or funny things, and hopefully in the next day or two, we’ll have him back at home looking shaved, but happier.
